Who can I Commission to draw Tattoo Designs for me?

I just turned eighteen, but I know exactly what I want to get tattooed onto me. Not that I’ll get it this year, I’m anticipating the event a little. But I just don’t want to walk into a shop and ask random people to make designs for me, because I think they’ll expect me to want to get it right away, when I just want to sit on the design for a little till I’m ready. I don’t have great artists for friends, lol. So, who do I turn to?

go to your local high school or college (or community center), and ask the person who instructs the drawing classes if you can post an advertisement in their class and then just print out a note that says “wanted: talented illustrator for help with a tattoo design (one time), please email with examples from your portfolio XXXXX@yahoo.com.”

you want to make sure that you get a few examples of their work, so that you can see what they are like, not just trust that they know what they are doing… also, you may want to make yourself a new email account for this purpose only so that you aren’t just posting your personal info around.
